About Her

Go To Motors started in 2017 in the living room of a very exhausted mother of a 1-and-a-half-year-old adorable little one, who was also the cause of much sleep deprivation. Whilst making sure the 1-and-a-half-year-old didn't get up to (much) mischief, the exhausted, sleep-deprived mother also had to make sure her 5-year-old son got to school on time, at least wearing (on most occasions) a matching pair of shoes.

The mother/frustrated Formula 1 driver decided, whilst loading what seemed like the hundredth basket of wet clothing into the dryer, that she would love to turn her passion for cars into a business.

So after dropping her son at school and asking her lovely mother to look after her daughter for a couple of hours, off went the exhausted mother to the local car auction, with not a great deal of money in her pocket.

To her surprise, she bumped into an old acquaintance who worked at the auction and they were happy to be of assistance, giving the exhausted mum a quick 101 on buying cars at an auction.

After a couple of weeks, exhausted mum, finally plucked up the courage to buy her first vehicle and to her surprise, she sold the car on the very same day, making a handsome profit. Exhausted mum was then able to reinvest and buy more cars.

Everything seemed like it was going in the right direction and exhausted mum would end up being incredibly successful, being featured as a glamorous yummy mummy on the front of Vogue magazine, standing in front of the electric car she built by hand, which also had an inbuilt bottle warmer, automatic smelly nappy changer and an instant Calpol dispenser.

Not quite. It's been a hard slog and exhausted mum is still slogging, The adorable baby is now 6, the older one actually left the house wearing one shoe just the other day, and exhausted mum is still exhausted. Nonetheless, exhausted mum loves what she does. Whilst the world has been turned upside down in a not-very-nice way at all, she's buckled up her seat belt, and she's holding on for the ride.

I don't know how the story ends yet, I'm still writing it.

My son is happy to get into any vehicle I'm driving as long as there is a football in it and a packet of cheesy Wotsits.
